Anissa Gurnee – President, Secretary, Treasurer, Programs and Professional Development Chair

Anissa Gurnee

Anissa Gurnee joined Pacific Advisors in May 2015.  She specializes in developing processes and systems for financial representative training, coaching and development.  Anissa began her career in financial services at Northwestern Mutual as a financial representative and later, transitioning to Director of Development.  She then spent some time on the wholesale brokerage side prior to joining Pacific Advisors.

She is a graduate of La Jolla Academy Advertising with an AA in Marketing/Advertising. Anissa spent over 20 years in the Orange County area working with many non-profit and community organizations, helping them to develop and implement successful fund raising programs.
Anissa enjoys her free time by staying active playing tennis and boxing. She has two children, Alexandra (24) and Gray (22), and loves to spend as much time with them as their busy work and college schedules will allow.


Brian Young – President-Elect, APIC Chair, Government Relations, IFAPAC Chair

Brian-YoungBrian Young grew up in Alameda, a small town in the San Francisco Bay Area. After moving to Southern California and attending San Diego State University, he began a career in the finance industry. Over the past 8 years Brian has worked with Mutual of Omaha and MassMutual Financial Group’s Capstone Partners. In 2013, he joined the Newport Beach office of Pacific Advisors where he manages a wealth management practice and is a member of the firm’s leadership team.

In his free time, Brian enjoys playing tennis and golf, spending time with close friends and family, and working for Youth Employment Services, a local non-profit dedicated to teaching youth and young adults the skills needed to secure and maintain meaningful employment and improve their employability, career choices and quality of life.

Tim brings over 30 years of experience to PSF® Orange County office. In his early years he started as personal producer with Equitable Life of New York and continued on as a manager. His many personal and management achievements include the Bronze, Silver and Gold Production Management Awards as well as the Silver National Class Champion Award and membership in the Equitable Presidential Cabinet.
br> Tim Brock has been actively involved in the financial services industry for more than 38 years in a variety of roles including insurance agent, registered principal, corporate executive, wholesaler, general agent and registered investment advisor.


Misty Weltzien – Immediate Past President and National Committeeperson, Programs and Professional Development Chair


After graduating from California State University Long Beach with a degree in finance, Misty Weltzien joined Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. She spent five years with the firm, and held roles as the Director of Training and Development and as a financial advisor. She is now an Associate General Agent with Pacific Advisors, where she runs the Newport Beach office. Misty is an avid believer in education and has earned the Certified Financial Planner, Charted Financial Consultant, and Chartered Life Underwriter designations. Misty loves giving back to her community and is actively involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters, the ASPCA, Young Professionals Committee, and Future Leaders of our Community. This is Misty's fourth year on the NAIFA OC board.

Jerry Packer – Executive Director

Jerry Packer

Jerry Packer holds a Bachelor of Arts in business administration from California State University, Fullerton. Jerry is president of Sterling Strategic Management, an association management company based in Laguna Beach, CA. Previously, Jerry was co-owner of EXHIBITCORP, a Los Angeles based company specializing in the design, manufacturing, and logistics of exhibits and trade show displays worldwide. Jerry lives in Laguna Beach with his Golden Retriever, plays golf and tennis, and loves to travel.
